"Absence, Despair and Hope"
The design of this space is intended to reflect the transition of emotions that the characters go through. It is a space that exposes the absence of a maternal figure that once existed but now is gone. Throughout the film this room shows the despair of the father by the neglected state of the things inside. By the end of the film there is a representation of hope carried through the daughter across the space with lighter and warmer colors.
