The “Imagine” campaign was developed to position Kolter Homes as a brand that goes beyond selling properties — offering a vision of a life already unfolding within each space.
The concept follows a couple walking through a model home, where each room transforms into a lived moment of their future.
The goal was to create an emotional connection by blending reality and imagination, allowing viewers to see themselves already living in the home.
The creative approach focused on building a dreamlike narrative where spaces evolve as the characters move through them.
Using a multi-pass visual storytelling technique, each room transitions from an empty or static environment into a fully lived-in scene, blurring the line between imagination and reality.
Warm lighting, natural textures, and intimate compositions were key to creating a sense of familiarity, comfort, and aspiration.
Role — Production Designer
I was responsible for translating the campaign’s narrative into physical and visual environments, ensuring each space supported both storytelling and functionality on camera.
My work focused on:
• Designing and adapting interiors to reflect different lifestyle scenarios within the same space
• Developing visual coherence across multiple locations and room transitions
• Styling and propping environments to enhance realism and emotional connection
• Supporting the transformation of spaces (e.g., flex room into office, craft room, and TV room) through minimal but intentional design changes
• Collaborating closely with the director, cinematography team, and production to ensure visual continuity
The challenge was to create spaces that felt authentic, aspirational, and adaptable — while maintaining consistency across narrative transitions.
Visual Development
The design process was guided by curated moodboards that defined tone, color palette, and lifestyle direction for each space.
Each room was approached as a distinct emotional environment:
• Kitchen — social, warm, and dynamic (center of connection)
• Bathroom — calm, spa-like, intimate
• Living Room — welcoming, layered, and lived-in
• Bonus Room — flexible, transforming between multiple identities (work, leisure, creativity)
The design language emphasized natural materials, warm lighting, and subtle styling details to reinforce the idea of a home already inhabited.
